This scenic tract is located in one of the most rugged parts of the ND Badlands.
It's about 14 miles south of the historic cow town of Medora and just a few minutes from the world famous Bully Pulpit golf course. This is the area we hunt for the big trophy mule deer bucks. Merrifield Creek runs through the middle of the tract from east to west and an artesian well provides the water that brings in the wildlife.
The topography consists of high cedar covered buttes and creek bottom with cedar and ash trees. Merrifield Creek forms a large valley down the middle of the tract and gives way to high buttes on either side. There are several building spots that would be sheltered from the wind and weather, but would provide a fantastic view.
This tract is bordered on two sides by an estimated 150,000 acres of Forest Service land. The Forest Service land is available for hunting, trail riding and hiking. This tract provides habitat for mule deer, antelope, bighorn sheep, coyotes and an occasional mountain lion.
The tract has a high production artesian well. If desired, additional well water can be found at about a depth of 200'. The real estate taxes are about 50 cents per acre. Access is by an all weather scoria road.
If you're looking for great hunting, unlimited trail riding areas or just a very private place to find yourself, this place will work for you. Priced at $320,000.00.
